Lizzie Armanto

As a pioneer in skateboarding, Lizzie’s first-ever signature skateboard shoe by Vans was designed to offer something entirely different for skateboarders with unmet needs. The silhouette also represents Vans’ first signature skate shoe designed by a woman in 20 years. Now in its second season, The Lizzie comes in a new dirty earth tone, as well as a wide range of sizes which includes children, and is supported by Lizzie’s new head-to-toe clothing collection which brings together several basic parts. , offering a completely new approach for a new generation of skaters.

“I believe skateboarding is for everyone,” Lizzie said, “which is why I’m excited to share ‘Little Lizzie,’ along with a brand new collection of inclusive apparel.”

The Lizzie features hard-working design elements that are meant to cater to a wider range of skaters. The new vulcanized construction features a higher outsole cut and rounded edges for a stable, broken-in feel. The universal fit provides the perfect amount of EcoCush™ cushioning, increasing board feel for a wider range of skaters while the 3D embossed DURACAP™ toe adds durability in high wear areas. An all-new micro-waffle tread and Sick-Stick™ rubber provide maximum grip.

This season, Lizzie’s pink graphic inspiration – embossed on The Lizzie’s heel counter and appearing throughout the collection – is a nod to reusable “thank you, have a nice day” bodega bags that come with a friendly reminder reuse and recycling.

His signature shoe has also been given the Vans VR3 designation, meaning it follows strict footwear material guidelines for all major components. Under the VR3 designation, The Lizzie will still be made in part with organic cotton, natural rubber and bio-based foam. The Lizzie also uses suede from Leather Working Group (LWG) tanneries that have been rated gold or silver for environmental responsibility.

The assortment of apparel and accessories was designed in close collaboration with Lizzie to create an offering for all genders that mixes her personal style with functional skate details. Her collection is a mix of everyday pieces like the Armanto dungarees and tote, including a hand-drawn pink graphic that pops across the line. The Armanto dungarees feature a relaxed fit in a canvas fabric, with fancy webbing details, a front patch pocket, back metallic hardware, logo embroidery and felt patch detailing. The Armanto long sleeve knit is the perfect everyday piece with a timeless ribbed fabric.

A true embodiment of Vans DNA, Lizzie Armanto is an icon of originality and positivity.
