Sale of recycled clothing – The Border Watch

CLOTHES ON SALE: A number of second-hand clothes will be on sale at Rymill Hall next Saturday to help raise funds for the Penola Coonawarra Stand Like Stone sub-fund.

The residents of PENOLA Coonawarra will have the opportunity to clean their wardrobes while raising funds with the sale of recycled clothes which will continue next weekend.

The event will raise funds for the Penola Coonawarra subfund of the Stand Like Stone Foundation, which continues to provide grants specifically for projects in the region.

Hosted by Amanda Flint and supported by Janet Brodie, the event will allow sellers to clean up their closets with shoppers able to find new clothes at knockdown prices.

“The event is a great platform for sustainability and recycling, as well as a gathering for the community,

friendships and fun, ”Flint said.

“There will be fantastic quality second-hand clothing at incredible prices, including formal, casual winter coats and more.

“There will also be shoes, bags and accessories and clothing for men and children as well as a wide range of clothing for women.”

The event is being repeated, following the success of the April pop-up session which raised funds specifically for Penola Swinging with the Stars dancer Kate Palm.

“The clothes will be organized on each vendor’s shelves, with the sizes for that shelf displayed,” Ms. Flint said.

“Buyers can be more focused in their search for the perfect items, without having to browse through all of the clothing on offer. “

Friday night will also host a “Girls Night Out” with music, wine and raffles on the program, with the event starting at 4:00 pm.

The recycled clothing sale will take place at Rymill Hall on October 30, starting at 10 a.m.
