MST Golf S’pore opens biggest store here as gaming booms in post-pandemic world
SINGAPORE – Even as the global economy has been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, golf has seen a global boom, with many courses also benefiting from increased traffic in Singapore.
MST Golf Singapore saw 95% revenue growth from 2020 to 2021, which convinced the golf retailer and service provider to launch the largest golf store here on May 27.
City Square Mall’s MST Golf Super Store spans more than 16,000 square feet — more than double the 7,000 square feet of its Suntec outlet — and stocks 66 brands of equipment, apparel and accessories.

The new flagship store, which cost $3 million to renovate and stock, also houses the Golf Lab SEA Performance Center, which is equipped with seven technical bays, as well as the latest swing analysis technology to deliver comprehensive programs learning and club optimization.
Ng shared that the City Square outlet will mainly focus on Singapore-based customers while the Suntec store will continue to serve more of the international crowd.
He added: “While we want to bring golf to as many people as possible, we also want to meet the needs of non-golfers with the various clothing brands for business and leisure.”
MST Golf Singapore Chairman Loh Ah Joo is confident the outlet will be “a huge draw for golfers and bring a new population of consumers to the mall”.
Currently, MST Golf has 33 stores in Malaysia and seven in Singapore, with plans to expand to other parts of Southeast Asia.
Ng said: “We are lucky that golf has really grown during this pandemic because it is an outdoor sport that can be played alone or in small groups. In fact, most if not all brands of golf behaved well.
“As international borders open, we expect sales to increase, especially with many new golfers getting into the game.”
