Janelle Cardenas will make a dream come true on Monday when she launches her jewelry store indoors Paseo Nuevo Shopping Center.

“Jewelry is my passion and my vocation,” she said.

She will sell gold filled and solid gold jewelry, as well as diamonds and gemstones. She offers anklets, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and more. She even offers permanent jewelry, where chains are welded to the skin.

“You can wear it for the rest of your life,” she said.

Janelle Cardenas said she’s always been smart.

“I love working with my hands,” she said Thursday as she set up a display in her store.

Jewelry, she said, is special, and it is tied to a special meaning, or a story.

“It makes women feel really good. Having this little accessory gives women a little more self-confidence so that they can look and feel good and look good,” she said.
